Tips for 5K Walk

These days, we often hear that 10,000 steps per day is ideal for maintaining good health. Considering that 10,000 steps is approximately 4 to 5 miles, depending on your pace, the DCC 5K (3.1 miles) is equivalent to about 6,800 steps. This means your daily steps while walking from your car to your home or office, running errands, walking your dog, etc. are already preparing you to tackle the 5K!

To train, all you need is a good pair of comfortable walking or running shoes and some water to hydrate along the way. Invite your family members, friends, and colleagues to join you for weekly training walks and inspire them to get fit and DCC with you!
